The Role
A high visibility role within a leading (re)insurance software supplier to the global Commercial and Specialty market. With a strong footprint in B2B P/C solutions for the Lloyd’s and London Insurance Market, this role calls for a senior business analyst/ product owner/ aspiring product manager to lead the strategic road map for an established PAS
Key questions:
- have you worked on (London Market) P/C PAS systems – as a Senior BA/ SME or Product Owner?
- can you hold your own in advising on current and forthcoming market changes that are driving innovation in the insurance software space?
- are you well versed in the differences between general and specialty insurance underwriting processes, specifically those impacted upon by BP2?
- are you a strong techno/functional analyst, who has worked on complex B2B insurance software builds?

Responsibilities
With product investment backing, and a ring-fenced team of specialists (BA, SME, Architect, Devs and QA) reporting and supporting this role, you will
- migrate an existing (insurance) Policy Administration System from desktop to cloud-hosted SaaS solution
- bring deep understanding of LMA and Lloyd’s BP2 initiatives to meet the digital strategy for the product (Acord standards and electronic placement platform, digital messaging and Bureau interaction)
- research and interpret core functionality and future requirements to direct product roadmap priorities,
- maintain an understanding of the competitor landscape, the impact of augmented underwriting and AI, to ensure adoption of key data-led innovations
- Work closely with Agile based development team, ensuring product development is managed within budget and time constraints
- Act as product evangelist, playing a visible client-facing role in industry forums, and through pre-sales, sales and marketing phases
- Bring a strong commercial vision to accelerate the modernisation of the existing product
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering or STEM subject
- 8+ years’ of experience working for an insurance software vendor
- Experience in business analysis, or product ownership of a P/C PAS system
- Commercial AND Specialty (London Market ) sector expertise (NON-NEGOTIABLE requirement)
- Strong blend of technology (SDLC) and commercial (product viability, feature prioritisation) skills and experience
- Agile practitioner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical, as is the ability to influence a range of stakeholders (technical and business)
